A LAND OF TRADITIONS'S SUGGESTIONS

MEET THE PROVINCE

Cabinda is both a city and a province. Explore this region and be marvelled by the beaches where you can indulge in water sports, the Lândana Swamp, where you can watch birds, pelicans and flamingos, or the Sassau-Zau Lagoon, a fantastic natural treasure.

To get know more about the history of Cabinda, you may explore the dozens of sculptures that can be found at the M'Buco-M'Buadi Cemetery (known as the Cemetery of the Kings of Cabinda) and you can also visit the Ruins of the Old Episcopal See.

Also, don't miss the Museum of Cabinda and the region's churches during your visit to this charismatic region!

AN ODE TO TRADITION

Cabinda is has a wide range of customs and is defined by its traditions. Here, you will be able to watch the Bakama people honouring their ancestors in historical festivities with painted masks, wearing banana leaves and brooms made from palm tree leaves.

But Cabinda's culture is also represented by its artisans. Delicate stone and wood sculptures are very common in the region and you might want to take a small Cabinda art sample with you. Don't leave town without tasting the exquisite local dishes such as the smoked fish fumbua, several types of muamba or the fish suidi.
