From January to December, Cape Town is full of events but its in winter that runs one of the most expected event: whale watching!


This fishing village less than 2 hours away from Cape Town is the ideal spot for whale watching. Visitors can observe the whale from land, on the water, on the cliff’s tracks or on boat rides.
The month of September marks the beginning of the Whale Festival that celebrates the migration of whales with several music and food tasting events.


False Bay is the best place to spot whales. But if you prefer spending the day on beach, Gordon’s Bay is the best of both worlds: lose yourself on the town’s gorgeous beaches and enjoy whale watching on Steenbrasdam’s viewpoint.


The whale season occurs during the country’s winter. It begins in June and continues until the end of November.
