TAAG SUPPORTS CONFERENCE ON PEACE, TRADE AND ENERGY TRANSITION IN AFRICA

The conference will be held in Luanda from December 1 to 3 and is organized by African Peace Magazine.

Luanda, December 02, 2023: For the second consecutive year, Luanda hosted the Nigeria-Angola bilateral conference to promote peace and debate on the major issues on the African continent's agenda (trade, green energy, and connectivity), in an event organized by African Peace Magazine. The session was attended by a diverse audience, including diplomatic representatives accredited to Angola, third-sector organizations, youth associations, and the academic community.

The event was officially opened by the Luanda Provincial Government, represented by the Deputy Governor for the Economic Sector, Jorge Augusto. The event brought a delegation from Nigeria to Luanda, composed of provincial governors, royalty (traditional authorities), regulators of the energy, oil, and gas sector, as well as the local business community.

TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola supported this initiative by facilitating the transportation of the international speakers and contributed to the debate by highlighting the role of connectivity, and in particular commercial aviation, in bilateral relations between nations and the promotion of peace.

Highlights included the contribution of Angolan entities, namely representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Water and the company OMATAPALO in the presentation of structural renewable energy projects, as well as the presence and interaction of AIPEX (Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency) with the delegation of businessmen from Nigeria.

Destinations, services and the TAAG brand were present in the event's exhibition area, which took place on December 1 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Luanda. The connection to Lagos (Nigeria) is one of TAAG's most important regional routes and has three weekly frequencies from 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.
