CITY OF LIGHTS

We’re talking about light efects that will transform the city’s buildings, bridges, parks and turistic attractions real masterpieces. A show made of colour and light — so amazing it looks like magic!
By projecting lights and colour into the buildings, Luminale tells a story to its viewers and transforms the urban style of the city into an art piece.
The first edition of Luminale goes back to 2002 and has become one of the most sucessfull events in town: year after year, there are over 150 000 visitants that fall in love by the beauty of the buildings, combined with the modern technology.

The lights of Luminale will shine so bright that you can see Frankfurt from miles away.
Not only made for the viewers, this event is the perfect excuse for the artists to exhibit their work and present an unique show. Many designers and photographers love it too: every two years, many of them travel to Germany looking for some shiny news and imagination to create their own masterpieces!​

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Luminale happens every two years, in March. It takes place at the same time of the famous Light + Building — the international fair of lights and technology.
