To really enjoy the skyline of Frankfurt, go to the top of Main Tower
200 meters above the ground you are bound to get a great view - this is what happens at the top of Main Tower, a symbol of modern Frankfurt. Built during the 1990’s, this high-rise office building is noted for its height, large antenna at the top, and a distinctive fully- glazed façade.
Every year, the Tower receives thousands of visitors heading for the observation deck at the top to get a good panoramic view of the city skyline. Thanks to a lift, getting there will only take you a minute.
Other attractions include a restaurant and cocktail lounge at the 53rd floor (expensive and with “business casual” dress code), and the art exhibition at the foyer (a video installation by American artist Bill Viola and a wall mosaic by German sculptor Stephan Huber).
Prices for admission start at €6.5. Opening hours are as follows:
Foyer: Art exhibition
Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm.
Observation deck from March to October
Sunday to Thursday from 10 am to 9 pm (7pm in winter)
Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm. (9pm in winter)
Bear in mind that security is tight when entering the building. The observation deck closes during thunderstorms. For more information, check the official website.
