Visit Havana’s crafts market and take a little bit of Cuba back home with you!

At the end of Avenida Desamparados, which extends along the city’s coastline, we arrive at the South Habana Vieja area. Here, at an abandoned old shipyard warehouse. Next to the warehouse, we find a great open arts and crafts market. At the Centro Cultural Antiguos Almacenes de Deposito San José you can buy works from local craftspeople: paintings, woodcrafts, necklaces, jewelry… and also souvenirs such as vintage cars license plates and items with Cuban revolutionary imagery. The market has a very diverse clientele that includes both locals and tourists.

The market includes a food area and a tourist information centre. Be prepared to haggle for prices!
