Soyo celebrates on April 5th!

The town of Soyo was first called Santo António do Zaire - the name given to this place in 1481 by Portuguese navigator Diogo Cão. It became a full-fledged municipality on April 5th, 1974. This event is commemorated every year with official events and open air entertainment, sports and social activities.
