TAAG has just signed an ACMI agreement with HiFly and is reinforcing its operations with an Airbus A330 for 3 months.
To guarantee a continuously high level of service and availability of connections, TAAG has just signed an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) agreement with the airline HiFly to lease an Airbus A330 to operate on the Luanda-Lisbon-Luanda route for three months.
Luanda, June 02, 2022: With effect from June 15, 2022, and for three months, TAAG will operate on the Luanda-Lisbon-Luanda route an Airbus Airbus A330 aircraft, contracted by HiFly on a wet lease basis. Under this type of contract, HiFly is responsible for providing the aircraft, full crew, maintenance, and insurance of the aircraft, and TAAG will compensate it for the operating hours of the aircraft.
This decision coincides with the maintenance work that TAAG performs on part of its international fleet, namely the Boeing 777-30 0ER. All in all, it was a management strategy that allowed for the continuity and regularity of operations on the Luanda-Lisbon route, which is in great demand.
This collaborative solution, typical of commercial aviation, allows TAAG to operate one of the most preferred routes with the highest traffic volume. The Airbus A330 is a modern, extremely versatile, and comfortable aircraft that can seat 250 passengers in a two-class configuration (Economy and Business).
